Some random facts about me; I hate to write. I can't spell. I never journal. So, why blog? Well, as many of you know or will soon come to know, my life has taken quite the turn in the past months. My heart is on the mends, although, will never be completely whole again. Therefore, I am constantly looking for ways to comfort this ache. Over these past months, reading other blogs exclaiming stories about life, death, random facts, daily encounters and simple pleasures, have somehow tended to my aching heart and have allowed me to experience small moments of joy. Blogging has allowed our world to capture a small (although sometimes quite large) glimpse into another ones life, creating a thrill that is addictive and slightly contagious! My blog will hopefully nurture that thrill in hopes to offer you a 'front row seat' into my journey through this crazy experience called, life. Life, in the essence of what gives, breaths and sustains. Maybe my blogging will one day attribute to caring for another ones aching heart.

Longwood

My apologies for the overload on postings but I just realized I can print my blog and create a memory book which I would love to do one day (Memory Book).  So, I am playing catch up...

For Christmas, my parents gifted us a years membership to Longwood Gardens, something I have been wanting for quite sometime now.  Longwood is a favorite of ours to take walks, have lunch and take in creation.  I can't wait to experience the different seasons with Sydney this coming year.

Enjoy a few pics from our visit over Christmas...

Baby's First Christmas

It seems as though Christmas came and went in the blink of an eye.  Although this year looked a bit different for Eric and I (living with my parents), we were still able to soak in the fun of celebrating Sydney's first Christmas.

Pleasantly, our Christmas seemed a lot simpler... no unloading decorations from storage to decorate a home, no buying a Christmas tree only to have its needles coat the carpet and become a fire hazard, and best of all, no needing to un-decorate and put it all away!  I admit, I secretly missed some of those traditions, but it kept Christmas simple this year, and for that I am thankful.

Keeping Christmas simple helped me to focus on what matters.  The true meaning of the holiday, the birth of Christ.  The birth of Hope.  The birth of life forever.

Merry Christmas!
