Some random facts about me; I hate to write. I can't spell. I never journal. So, why blog? Well, as many of you know or will soon come to know, my life has taken quite the turn in the past months. My heart is on the mends, although, will never be completely whole again. Therefore, I am constantly looking for ways to comfort this ache. Over these past months, reading other blogs exclaiming stories about life, death, random facts, daily encounters and simple pleasures, have somehow tended to my aching heart and have allowed me to experience small moments of joy. Blogging has allowed our world to capture a small (although sometimes quite large) glimpse into another ones life, creating a thrill that is addictive and slightly contagious! My blog will hopefully nurture that thrill in hopes to offer you a 'front row seat' into my journey through this crazy experience called, life. Life, in the essence of what gives, breaths and sustains. Maybe my blogging will one day attribute to caring for another ones aching heart.

Springton Manor Birthday Party

Knowing baby Jude is due to arrive just 2 days before Sydney's birthday, I decided to plan a little party for Sydney in the beginning of the month before baby gets here.  I wanted to keep it simple and knew Sydney would love anything at this age.  So, I invited a few of her little buddies to spend the morning at a local farm seeing farm animals and enjoying a picnic together.  It was a great day, although Sydney wasn't feeling her best, (she has been battling a bad ear infection) overall she enjoyed the day.  We love Springton Manor Farm and hope to be back this summer.  Thank you Aunt Meredith for the pictures!

What a fun day!

Jude's room is ready!

For the past few weeks, Eric and I (mostly Eric) have been hard at work completing Jude's nursery.  Let me preface by saying, work on this room began far before Jude was even a thought.  When we moved into the house last spring, the back bedroom was covered with shag carpet, yes even the walls!  It was quite a task to remove the carpet and sand down the walls.  When it was time to paint, I remember choosing a light color blue thinking, maybe, just maybe we would have a little boy join our family one day and take that room.   Once we found out I was having a boy we knew this would be his nursery.  Over the past few nights, I've found myself sitting in the rocker, anticipating my son's arrival, praying over his little life and imagining his precious face.

And just for kicks, here's a 'before' pic of his room, gotta love that carpet!

Spring has sprung...

The warmer weather has finally arrived and we couldn't be happier!  With baby Jude due to arrive any day now, we are soaking in as many sunny days as we can.  Over the past few months Sydney has blossomed into quite a little lady.  She is talking up a storm, learning her ABC's and numbers and even has taken to mothering her 'baby dolls' as we have prepared her for Jude's arrival.  As she nears her 2nd birthday this month, I thank God for the past 2 years He has given Eric and I with just our little girl. She has brought immense joy into our lives.  I tear up anticipating the changes that lie ahead, but realize (and have been told by numerous people) how my heart will grow even bigger with room to love our little guy just as much as Sydney.  We are beyond excited to see all that lies ahead.

Enjoy some pictures over the past few months...

First warm day meant time to head to the lake with friends!

Sydney likes to keep a 'safe' distance from the crazy boys and the dirt that accompanies them... such a lady.

Boys will be boys

Easter at the Hunt's

Owen is all about Sydney's hair these days... she's not so sure she likes it ;)

Nothing like finding gold fish, puffs and coins in our Easter eggs!

Craft time has become more frequent these days, someone is becoming quite the artist.

Saturday mornings became Daddy and Sydney time at the YMCA taking swim lessons together, Sydney absolutely loved being in the pool and can't wait for the neighborhood pool to open this summer.

We spend a good amount of time at this lego table on cold/rainy days, Barnes and Noble is a favorite of ours.
