Some random facts about me; I hate to write. I can't spell. I never journal. So, why blog? Well, as many of you know or will soon come to know, my life has taken quite the turn in the past months. My heart is on the mends, although, will never be completely whole again. Therefore, I am constantly looking for ways to comfort this ache. Over these past months, reading other blogs exclaiming stories about life, death, random facts, daily encounters and simple pleasures, have somehow tended to my aching heart and have allowed me to experience small moments of joy. Blogging has allowed our world to capture a small (although sometimes quite large) glimpse into another ones life, creating a thrill that is addictive and slightly contagious! My blog will hopefully nurture that thrill in hopes to offer you a 'front row seat' into my journey through this crazy experience called, life. Life, in the essence of what gives, breaths and sustains. Maybe my blogging will one day attribute to caring for another ones aching heart.

9 Months

9 Months

(This was the best I could get for having a non stop moving 9 month old)

(Every time I took a step back he went for it...)

Oh Jude, you are on the move!  We have seen your mobility increase x10 over the past 4 weeks. What went from doing the army crawl turned into full blown crawling on all fours, as well as pulling up  to reach for anything and everything in site.  We took the word 'baby-proof' lightly with your sister, but you have given a whole new meaning to the word.  I love it.  I love watching you discover with every new movement. The world is so intriguing to you, but what intrigues you most is finding your sister when she is out of site and getting into whatever she may be doing.  You LOVE her and yes, she loves you, she is just quick to remind you what is hers.  You weigh in at 19.10 lbs!  My big boy.  You still have NO teeth, yet your gums are swollen and the doctor says they should be cutting through any day now.  Explains your constant need to have something in your mouth.  You have started eating solids in bite size form, bananas, avocados and sweet potato's being your current favorites.  You will eat anything pureed, yet prefer grabbing the solids right from whomever's  hand is closest to your mouth.  Sleep.... you take two consistent naps a day and are awake in the morning by 7am.  You often wake for an early morning feed (5:30/6ish) and then fall back asleep till 7 or so.  You are ready for bed by 7pm and are sure to remind us when we are getting close.  I love our night time cuddles, you still drink a bottle at bedtime and usually fall asleep while rocking with me.  This past month you received your first professional hair cut and what a good boy your were.  Not even a peep was made while the hair dresser trimmed and cut your hair making you look twice your age... and of course, melt my heart.  You survived another night away from mommy as Di Di and Poppy took good care of you.  Oh, the months are just flying by and I know we will be celebrating your 1year before we know it, but I am soaking in these days.  Jude, you have melted my heart in ways you will never understand.  On to the next month, what crazy things will you get into!?

Here are some 'out takes'  and some of my favorites during our little photo shoot....
